Avenue Supplies is seeking a part time employee for our internet sales division This position is for a local ealing resident and offers no relocation. Hours are from Mon . Fri. 11am . 3pm (negotiable) if it sounds like a fit then please read on.
Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes in no particular order:
EU Resident. Fluent in written and verbal English.
Have a great work ethic.
Have superb customer facing skills and able to converse clearly with an attitude that exemplifies customers are the best be it in person on the telephone or other media such as fax and email.
Be able to use a computer of which the primary tools will be email and our company software accessed via an internet browser such as internet explorer or firefox
Pack items in a careful and conscientious manner for shipping to our customers.
Deliver items to our local post office or sign off with couriers that collect items
Be able to liaise with our support staff (IT or Service delivery) where necessary to resolve issues.
Be a quick learner, analytical and well organised.
Have the ability to work autonomously once direction is given
Be able to take pictures of products when required (full instructions provided)
Work to facilitate improvement of our customer service and company procedures.
Liaise with our IT department to ensure information is accurate, acceptable and useful to our customers.
Have the ability to work under pressure should the need arise.
Retail experience a plus but not required.

Are you an Artisan looking for an outlet ? We are seeking unique and interesting products that you create. If you have such that would fit our customer base and is of the utmost quality. Preferably made in Great Britain and absolutely not made in China. you must be able to deliver small quantities within a 'reasonable' time frame upon request (metalworking, masonry, woodcraft, ironmongery etc...) and are looking for a retail bricks and mortar as well as an online outlet please contact Rhonda Edwards at avenue supplies. A few practical but nevertheless important DIY safety tips - Always read and ensure you understand the manufacturers labels and instructions before using any equipment or product.
- Always wear safety glasses to protect eyes from flying debris or chemical agents.
- To protect your hands Always wear heavy duty gloves or gloves providing the rated protection when working with sharp objects or chemicals.
- Increase the ventilation in the workspace to reduce fumes and dust.
- Wear a mask to reduce inhalation of dust and other particles. Note: dust masks are just that, they do not protect you from vapour fumes or other harmful airborne agents.
- Keep tools and chemicals away from children and pets.
- Store tools properly and keep them in good, working condition.
- Use tools and chemicals only for the purpose they are intended.
- Never mix chemicals unless the instructions indicate the need.
